Social Page. Our Burns Supper takes place each year on the Saturday evening nearest to Burns Night on the 25th January. For number of years this has taken place at the Giffnock Tennis Club. Guest speakers who have spoken to the “Immortal Memory” over the past three years have been Nicol Stephen the Deputy First Minister, Ross Finnie the Environment Minister and George Lyon the former MSP and Minister. St Andrews Night St Andrews Night Photograph Album Our St Andrews Night Dance takes place on the nearest Saturday to St Andrews Day. A buffet is provided and there is a Ceildh Dance. The Netherlee Pavilion has been the venue for a number of years. These two events are fund raisers. Liberal Democrats do not have the benefit of substantial donations from either Business or the Unions. All monies raised primarily are provided by members or their friends at evenings such as our Burns Night and St Andrews Night Dance.
